Exclusive: FIFA 19 Improved Gameplay Features That Could Make The Game Even Better

FIFA 19 demo gameplay features, dynamic tactics and system trailer. Initaial release date to be on 28th September featuring improvements in dribbling changes and detailed player negotiations.

The FIFA 19 demo gameplay is out and already turning heads with the amazing gameplay features and dynamic tactics - the peak of the bunch yet we might be in for a few surprises if EASports developers decide to have a second look at this list.

We headed over to Nairaland where we asked our Gamer friend VASARATTI of possible, yet, realistic improvements to the already seen FIFA 19 demo release that could make the gaming system even better for their die-hard users.

Just like our previous post on PC and Console gaming - no doubt, this one is definitely for PC gamers like the FIFA and PES headlocks!

FIFA19 Demo, features and release date

More Emphasis On The Atmosphere

The Evolution of Video gaming has to no doubt treated us to some amazing football atmosphere like the way fans rush towards a goalscorer, the new chants and the more diverse range of atmospheres depending on where you played your matches.

This is something EASports developers should look to expand upon before the FIFA 19 official 28th September release because the look and feel of each match could be made even bigger.

Imagine pre-match shots of fans hurrying to their seats, placing an order at burger bars just outside the ground or vendors selling scarves on the streets.

**Just imagining though, but hell yeah!! They can do it.

These flyover scenes wouldn't be hard to create as they would inevitably add so much to the immersion level of club football in FIFA. Not every supporter is in their seat moments before kick off, so it's something to think about.

Though it might be hard to implement, it'd also be cool to see fans actually leave early if the home team was having a stinker "all over the place".

Be that as it may, it's unrealistic for the fans inside Craven Cottage (for example) to stick around if Fulham FC are enduring a 5-0 at half-time by a Championship rival.

New Tactics Features

The FIFA 18 gameplay for some reasons best known to the developers allows for the same old on-the-fly tweaks as before. It's good, but EA should look at ways they can make tactics matter more mid-match.

Players in the real world can decide to play keep ball, go on the counter-attack, park the bus or go all out for that match-winner which would be welcomed with open arms IF implemented in the FIFA 19 release.

Quick subs might just be the beginning!

Being able to pull up a quick menu when the ball is out of play and alter formations, how high your defensive line sits and other variables would also throw a helping hand to the gameplay.

Currently, aside from those aforementioned presets, you can't truly switch tactics without hitting the pause button.

That been said, if EASports are actually serious about keeping fans in the thick of the action, they seriously need to consider changing that.

The impact of tactical changes are rarely been felt in FIFA, thus rendering any lofty ideas as to its effect upon implementation totally meaningless. Nobody is expecting Football Manager's to possess a lofty level of tactical nous, but a few more options wouldn't prove a miss-hit.

A New Commentary - We are Bored!

As good as Martin Tyler and Alan Smith or Jim Beglin and Peter Drury are as a commentary combo to both FIFA and PES platforms respectively, their banter is getting a little bit dull and outdated these days.

It's one thing to get sucked into the occasion by Smith revealing he's at his "first Old Firm derby" in FIFA 12, and quite totally a different thing to hear that been repeated in games released 6 or even 7 years later.

**Already in FIFA19 Demo!

It'd be a shame to see them both go, but FIFA should try fresh commentary voices or more still allocate different commentators to different matches as per their importance - just like in the real world.

Hearing same lines been recycled from past games is not cool, because it makes the latest entry feel just like a rerun - PES gamers can already beer witness of this.

FIFA gamers could at least do with hearing different voices for cup matches or international fixtures or the very least, bring back the option to switch commentary personnel amongst Clive Tyldesley and Andy Townsend.

Referees Error and VAR

Just like the Goal-line technology system in the real world, football can never exist without minimum fuss about controversies and refereeing decisions.

Adding VAR into FIFA 19 might prove to be a controversial decision as fans in "the real world" are already split on whether or not Video Assisted Referee calls have helped the game or made it less spontaneous.

That could be the same in FIFA gameplay so it may be wise for EA to add in some margin for error too. Or, they could offer up both options to give something for everybody.

Hard to accept it but, officials in FIFA 18 are always right, without fail. As annoying it would be, there should exist moments to be screwed over from time-to-time which would make FIFA matches feel more like real football and provide talking points afterwards.

The VAR option would no doubt eliminate wrong decisions but also add drama when the footage shows that the ball wasn't actually over the line such as goals chopped off by computer precision or left to the Unclad eye. Hello EASports! It'd be your choice, and it's a choice we all want.

Highly Customizable Managers

FIFA 19 customizable simulation managers

Who doesn't play the FIFA or PES career or Master League mode? nobody.

This is 2018 and counting and yet we're still picking from a few uninspiring pre-built models when starting a Career Mode in FIFA 18.

That's quite unforgivable as finding someone who looks like you in the handful of generic managers will only prove tougher than it should be.

If it's possible to create players from scratch, deciding on hair, skin, build etc, then why isn't it the same for managers in FIFA 18? Countless games offer up a creation suite and FIFA 19 could instantly win players over by introducing a Create-A-Manager feature.

Even the LMA Manager 2007 had more of these customisations than FIFA 18 does. Stuff like being able to pick out outfits for managers, wear club-branded ties or don the old sheepskin jacket and flat cap combo. Why not? It's long overdue

Detailed Players Negotiations

FIFA 19 player negotiations and transgers

It all starts with a player been touted to by an agent to another club to the handshake and official club presentation.

How about introducing a more direct yet different and never rigorous way during player negotiations in the FIFA Career mode?

The FIFA 18 has all gotten over us we now only have to keep repeating the square (or X on Xbox One) button a lot during agent and player negotiations. Who likes reading the same information over and over again.

Why trawl through all that text when you know you'll have to give that next star striker a £1 million signing bonus in the end?

EASports are off to a great start with these cutscenes no doubt. They've helped Career feel closer to The Journey in FIFA 18 and added more meaning to deadline day signings.

There's just one problem - none of the characters to be transferred are voiced!

Though it'd be a step too far or a bit herculean to expect everyone to have a voice, it'd be a great start to hear Jose Mourinho deny or complain about transfer speculations every now and then.

Are you a die-hard FIFA gamer and looking for some real challenges and FIFA19 improvements in the features, feel free to let us know using the comment section. The FIFA 19 gameplay is still open to amendments upon its initial release on September 28th.
