It is 2019 once again and different OEM’s have gone about the business of what that do best and that means, releasing the best of what their users asked for in the previous market year.
Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has moved on to launch its much anticipated first handset featuring a dew-drop or you can call it the water-drop shaped notch dubbed the Honor 10 Lite.
The Honor 10 Lite successor to the Honor 9 Lite and having been made available in China for some time is now available for pre-order for Nigerians. With the major highlights of the phone being its water drop-notch style display and 24-megapixel selfie camera, you don’t get much for quite a budget phone.
Design and Display
The Honor 10 Lite is quite a beauty to carry along with its body designed in a silicon-like metallic body and featuring body dimensions 154.8×73.64×7.95 mm. Lite versions are not that superior to their chiefs but the Honor 10 Lite sports a 6.2-inch 19.5:9 display with no space for logo branding or sensors of any making it even bigger than the Honor 10. A 2280 x 1080 worth of pixels and 91 percent screen-to-body ratio is not bad for a subversion.
The Honor 10 Lite is available in a handful of colour options, including the classic Night Black and Lily White colours as well as the gradient-based Gradient Red and Gradient Blue versions.
Hardware and Software
The Honor 10 Lite will sure wow with its adoption of an Octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710 processor and is equipped with a GPU Turbo 2.0 renowned for boosting graphics performance and efficiency by up to 60 percent. Also running an Android 9.0 Pie operating system based on the EMUI 9.0.
Storage and Sensors
The Honor 10 Lite sports a 4GB and 6GB RAM based on two storage variants. The 4GB variant comes with additional 64Gb internal storage space while the 6GB variant arrives with a 64GB internal memory all expandable up to 512Gb via MicroSD card. It also features a fingerprint print sensor for security purposes.
Network and Connectivity
Honor 10 Lite supports a dual nano Sim card slot. With connectivity features ranging from Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, 4G VoLTE, GLONASS and GPS/AGPS. Furthermore, a headphone 3.5mm jack support and a surprise USB Type-C sure sets it apart.
Camera and Battery Life
The Honor 10 Lite gets you a vertially stacked dual camera set up on the back which is placed on the top left corner and consists of a 13-megapixel f/1.8 sensor + a 2-megapixel sensor. The front-facing camera features a 24-megapixel on the front also available AI-based facial recognition to unlock the phone.
There is also a 3,400mAh non-removable battery supporting fast charging but there is no wireless charging technology available.
Pricing and Availability
Now the phone has been released, the price varies with respect to the two 4GB and 6GB variant options available at $200 and $245 respectively.
