Infinix, the alleged online-driven smartphone brand, is launching another device in the HOT series, the HOT 7.

Infinix Hot 7 price in Nigeria
The year 2019 is well on course for another year ride of smartphone releases and with different OEM’s making plans for design shocks and huge smartphone upgrades, Infinix a well-known brand in Nigeria where it has a reputation for high-performance and finger-snapping devices at a relatively low cost has moved to add to their long list of HOT smartphone series with the launch of the all-new HOT 7 device.
A device which you may understandably refer to a flagship due to its complete screen makeover with the near-bezelles display and adoption of an iPhone-X-like notch alongside its large-screen, pretty long lasting battery and Dirac 3D mode speakers.

However, the Infinix HOT 7 dubbed “The Powerful Entertainment” and a direct successor to the HOT  6 device is only available for purchase in Pakistan but with such composed specs, features and price, you don’t quite ask for more in arguably a 4th range smartphone. Let’s go through the full specs.

Design and Display

The Infinix HOT series have always packed a plastic body and the HOT7 should be a beauty to carry along with its premium look and feel with the design packing an impressive 155.4 x 75.9 x 8.4mm dimension and a 6.2″ HD screen + notch display, the first of its kind and a bit of upgrade to the HOT 6 to make your image viewing and video experience even more surreal.
The HOT 7 should be available in a sequence of colour variants just like in the HOT 6 with options including, Midnight Black, Champagne Gold and the first gradient design – Cosmic Purple.

Hardware and Software

The Infinix Hot 7 runs Android Oreo 8.1 (Go Edition) and a token Free Upgrade to the latest Android OS in the future.

While the newly released Android Go is a jazzed up version of Android that that is built for speed, it, however, takes up fewer system resources while maintaining a snappy performance regardless of the device specs (ROM, RAM and Processor).

The adoption of MT 6580 processor is also a welcome one, though not arguably a huge upgrade and shout-out for, it will sure get your device fired up for any work available.

Storage and Sensors

The Note 7 sports a quite low 1GB RAM though you get additional 16GB in storage space expandable up to 256GGb via MicroSD card.

Having a Face ID unlock feature on a low-end device is always a welcome one with the HOT 7 no exception, allowing one Face ID at a time when unlocking the device. That said, it doesn’t get any easier than Face Unlock. The front dual LED flash even lends a hand in less than conducive lighting conditions.
However, a gaugy issue has been identified by Dignited reporting a major bug with the Face ID in the HOT 6. He states a situation of his very own brother unlocking his device by smiling at the Face ID security option. Time will only tell how Infinix responds to such a flaw in their new smartphone release.
The Hot 7 also features a fingerprint sensor supporting processes like accepting a call, taking photos and unlocking the device.

Network and Connectivity

With the HOT 7, you get a 3G device. Many might complain about 5G making rounds on the internet, but you don’t actually need 4G to stay connected. Infinix HOT 7 supports a Micro SIM card alongside a WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, WiFi-Direct, Bluetooth v4.1, Bluetooth LE (Low energy), GPS, USB OTG (On the Go).

The Dirac 3D Stereo technology outputs a rich crystal clear sound from the speakers with hopefully no sound distorting at full volume thereby providing a full sound that is all rounded and suitable for both indoor and outdoor listening without the need for earphones. It adds wonderful colour to your audiovisual feast.

Camera and Battery Life

The Infinix HOT 7 packs a long-lasting 4000mAh battery which provides uninterrupted entertainment on a single charge. This eases the worry of charging ports or the need to have a power bank with you.

However, coupled with the battery-saving features of the Android Go OS and a 3G-only connection, this would arguably be a big hit for travellers. Power-savings comes in two ways; the baked-in intelligent power saving feature and also Power Saving with the pre-installed Phone Master app.

Quality images have always been considered a highlight of Infinix phones. The HOT 7 features a 13MP AF Camera with a dual flashlight that captures more picture details.

With a large aperture of f/1.8, it shows a clear and a high-quality shooting effect. In addition, the 3D DIRAC audio technology that has been well received by consumers in our previous generation HOT 6, has been extended in the HOT 7.
