Japanese High Schools
In Japan, secondary education is split into two, junior high schools and senior high schools. Junior high schools cover the seventh through ninth grade while senior high schools mostly cover grades ten through twelve.

Kaisei Academy

Azabu Junior and Senior High School is a private preparatory day school in Japan. The school which was founded in 1895 by Ebara Soroku comprises both a junior and a senior high. The junior high school teaches pupils between seventh and ninth grades whilst the senior high school teaches pupils between tenth and twelfth grade.
Azabu as it is mostly called is popular for being a member of “The Three Houses For Boys,” alongside Kaisei Academy and Musashi Junior and Senior High School. Inaguakuen Public High School
Inaguakuen is a coeducational school and comprises both junior and senior high. The school which was established in 1984 is one of the largest public schools in Japan. The school has the Delhi, that is, the Super English Language High School status.
The school is so large that it is said to be three times larger than the Tokyo Dome. The school has an outdoor swimming pool, baseball, and tennis court, running track, three gymnasiums, and soccer pitches.
Students at the school have over 50 extracurricular activities clubs to choose from. The school has one principal and six vice principals who are in charge of each of the 6 Houses that make up the school.
Seien Girls’ High School
Just as the name implies, Seien is a Girl’s school. It is a private school that was established in 1906 by Iwao Okamoto whose goal was to nurture “excellent mothers,” through his principle that “the first education of any great and wise person is his mother.”

At its inception, the school had 8 teachers and 25 students. Currently, it has 96 teachers, 1,200 students, and 24,000 graduates. Located in Naka-Ku, Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, the school is considered one of the best private schools in Japan.
Hibiya High School
Tokyo Metropolitan Hibiya High School now officially known as Hibiya High School was founded in 1878. It is Tokyo’s first middle or junior high school. It was ranked highly during the 1950s and 1960s when a large proportion of its graduates gained admission into the prestigious University of Tokyo. Although it suffered a decline from the 1970s to the early 2000s, in 2005 it reassumed its position as the best public high school in Japan.
Up until early 1950, the school only admitted boys. After it underwent lots of changes including an official change of name, it began admitting girls. Its first coeducational class enrolled 300 boys and 100 girls. To date, Hibiya is still considered one of the top public schools in Japan.
