Despite the global pandemic that has plagued the world making companies to hit the books and go back to the basics, we are still privileged to get few smartphone launch from OEMs which is a rare commodity these days.
OnePlus Z is one bad-kept secret device having garnered huge anticipation with leaks and renders doing its best to satisfy our burning curiosity.
The new disruptive product has been leaked a number of times, with the company even hinting at its existence, when OnePlus’ CEO, Pete Lau, revealed that the company is working on an ‘first’ affordable smartphone.
Interestingly, this was a company that just discontinued it’s agreement to make the OnePlus concept McClaren edition. A move that just about suits all parties with the fight to balance the books, so envisaging a complete ‘budget’ smartphone seems a little out of the picture.
However, the OnePlus Z is expected to be an all-new category of smartphones for OnePlus, with the company rumoured to equip it with a fast mid-range processor and start its retail at an affordable mid-range price point.
Hard to ultimately keep a new smartphone under wraps these days…
