Even in the whirlwind caused by big Hong-Kong Electronics company Huawei facing an imminent banned from using Android on their future smartphones, we still keep getting new smartphone launch each day.

Chinese consumer electronics company – Xiaomi has seen their stock and status in the mobile industry skyrocket in the past year with the release of the Redmi Note 7 and the different Mi devices and this year, the might be looking to take over the camera tech department from Oppo with the release of the Redmi K20 Pro.

The Redmi K20 Pro device is an amazing device which comes packs with flagship looking specs, a genius display design and…that Pop-up camera technique.

Although with no much buzz in Nigeria surrounding its launch, Xiaomi’s recent inquest in the Nigerian market has seen lots of advert placements featured all over the country and the hope is that in no time, the Redmi K20 Pro will be able to breach the gap between midrange and the flagship device choice.

The Redmi K20 Pro runs on Android 9 Pie with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip processor sitting on top and the efficient Adreno 640 GPU for your gaming experience. A 6GB RAM and 64GB storage space erase all the need for an SD card.

The Redmi K20 Pro has a 6″ inch screen with 1080 x 2340 px (FHD+) display on the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which seems huge but so is the 48/8MP Sony IMX586 Exmor RS primary and secondary sensor all packing dual LED capabilities.

Here’s the Redmi K20 Pro Review in full

Redmi K20 Pro Design

You don’t need a helping hand to differentiate between a flagship-grade smartphone from a midrange but the Redmi K20 Pro design will leave you in a bewildered state as to which category it definitely falls in.

First off, the Redmi K20 comes in a glass est plastic design in its stride. A curved 3D glass body which houses all the usual smartphone elements; from the in-display fingerprint sensor, primary and secondary LED flashlight sensors, the headphone jack down to that pop-up camera at the very top.

On the front of the Redmi K20 Pro, there’s a 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED notchless display which also houses a seventh generation in-display fingerprint scanner. With this expansive display, the K20 Pro gets a screen-to-body ratio of 91.9%.

At the back, you get the primary camera sensors with the USB and volume speakers occupying the bottom edge of the device.

The Redmi K20 Pro offering of the curved 3D corning gorilla glass packing a 6.39-inch AMOLED display just about strengthens Xiaomi’s quest to making great display designs in smartphones while also giving it the utmost security it deserves.
Viewing angles on the K20 Pro is nothing short of cinematic with the device packing a 19:5:9 which is pretty much exceptional for viewing social media and local library content.

Redmi K20 Pro Battery

Having 4,000mAh battery in flagships might not be the BEST YET but have definitely come to be the mainstay in 2019 smartphones and the Redmi K20 Pro is no exception.

The fast charge technology embedded in this flagship has to be the major highlight with the device getting a 27W fast charging with the monster capability to charge the 4,000mAh battery within 80 minutes.

Considering the device runs on Android 9  Pie, has a 4,000mAh battery with a super fast charge technique to go with and the evident possibility of a Power Bank to go with; doubt you will ever run out of juice for this device.

Redmi K20 Storage and Performance

The amount of storage packed in a device also speaks volumes as it’s a big determinant during a smartphone purchase given how much content people want to store in these companion handheld devices.
Expanded storage means more photos, files and video contents can be stored on the K20 Pro but Xiaomi might have made a huge mistake/flaw/has-all-bases-covered or whatever you might call it by leaving out the possibility of a Micro Sd card slot(None).
However, the Redmi K20 Pro comes in four different storage and performance variants for the RAM and local storage – 6GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128, and 8GB/256GB. They’ve sort of got everything definitely got everything covered for you.
The Qualcomm Adreno 640 might be every mobile gamer’s dream as it outputs heavy but great gaming experience while maintaining the best temperature level for which the K20 Pro device can operate.
Heavy graphics demanding games like Fortnite, FIFA and Asphalt Nitro are a big steal here, no lagging of any sort!

The Redmi K20 Pro runs on the latest Android 9 Pie with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855/730 chip processor sitting on top the K20 and K20 Pro device respectively.

However, XDADevelopers has report that the Redmi K20 smartphone will now be among Xiaomi devices eligible for the Android Q beta program alongside the Mi 9 and the Mi MIX 3 5G edition smartphones.

Redmi K20 Pro Camera

You are never going to make a smartphone that would be widely accepted by the public if you fail to incorporate a handsome camera alongside it and in Xiaomi’s case, I think the went one step forward.
The rush to make the NEXT BIG thing in smartphone camera technology has seen brands like come up with crazy concepts like the Penta-lens in Nokia PureView or the Rotating cameras in Motorola devices but the pop-up tech stands a lot to be admired though.

In terms of photography, the Redmi K20 Pro gets triple cameras on the back with the setup including a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor, an 1/4″ 8MP telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 1/3″ 13MP wide-angle lens with a 127º FOV and an f/2.4 aperture.

The pop-up front-facing camera boasts a resolution of 20MP which according to reports is set to receive a software-based wide-angle mode for huge group selfies.
You also get other camera features like Autofocus, Geotagging, Panorama, HDR, Optical and digital zoom with the unexpected standout being the ability to shoot videos in 4K on the Redmi K20 Pro.
**Mind-blowing!
